As the season of gratitude approaches, we at Leaf Home find ourselves reflecting on the many blessings that make our community so special. We are thankful for our home, family, and friends this Thanksgiving. Our appreciation extends beyond the holiday season. We consistently aim to show our gratitude throughout the year via employee and community outreach.
Our Employees: The Heart of Leaf Home
At Leaf Home, we believe our employees are the backbone of our success. That’s why we strive to foster a supportive work-life balance that encourages both professional growth and personal fulfillment. We strive to cultivate an environment of camaraderie; we organize a variety of fun activities throughout the year. These events are designed to bring together our office staff and the hardworking field sales team and installers.
Our calendar includes delightful treats such as ice cream pop-ups and Taco Truck visits, along with team outings and spirited Halloween costume contests. The latter even offers exciting prizes like Amazon gift cards to the winners!
As the holiday season approaches, we’re looking forward to inviting our employees and their families to our Hudson HQ for a festive gathering. There will be cookies, hot chocolate, cider, and, of course, a memorable photo op with Santa himself!
In our continued commitment to employee well-being, we’ve partnered with SupportLinc to provide our new Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Managed by CuraLinc Healthcare, this program offers guidance to help employees navigate and resolve everyday issues at no cost to them or their families. Whether it’s dealing with work-related pressures, depression, stress, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, substance abuse, or other emotional health concerns, this resource is available 24/7/365 to provide support and assistance.
Giving Back to Our Communities
Our commitment to gratitude extends beyond our immediate Leaf Home team to our valued customers and the communities they are part of. Each year, we express our appreciation by giving back in meaningful ways to these communities.
One of the key initiatives is the annual Toys for Tots drive, held at our HQ office. We also facilitate online donations, making it possible for our affiliate offices and field agents across the U.S. to participate. This year’s drive culminates with our festive Photos with Santa Day at our Hudson HQ, bringing joy and holiday spirit to all involved.
Another significant initiative we undertake is our School Supply Drive, which takes place every summer and fall. This drive supports local schools, ensuring students have the necessary resources for a successful academic year. We are particularly proud of our ongoing support for the LeBron James Family Foundation’s I PROMISE School in Akron, Ohio. In 2022, we exclusively supplied all required school supplies for the students at the I PROMISE School. Thanks to this initiative, all 720 students were equipped for success as they embarked on the 2022-2023 school year.
In addition to our corporate outreach efforts, Leaf Home encourages employees to make a positive impact in their communities. We provide each employee with one In-Service Day per year, allowing them to volunteer with a non-profit of their choice without using their paid time off. This initiative enables our team members to support causes close to their hearts, extending our circle of gratitude.
As we celebrate this holiday season, we are deeply grateful to our loyal customers for choosing Leaf Home as their trusted partner in safeguarding their homes and families. Your continued support not only drives our success but also fuels our ability to give back to our communities through meaningful initiatives.
Honoring Our Veterans
At Leaf Home, we deeply respect and are grateful for our veterans. We actively recruit, hire, and provide continuing education services to veteran employees. The Leaf Home Veteran Program actively partners with various channels, like the DOD SkillBridge Program, Hiring Our Heroes, and Army PaYS, to enhance recruitment and retention efforts.
We also foster a sense of community among our veteran employees through VetConnect, our Veterans Committee. This committee is dedicated to assisting veterans in their transition into the workplace, advocating for their unique needs, and amplifying their perspectives. Through our quarterly VetConnect forum, we educate our employees about the myriad benefits and programs available to them as veterans, both within the workplace and broader society.
Our commitment to veterans extends beyond the workplace. Recently, a group of Leaf Home employees in Northern California generously volunteered their time to assemble more than 190 care packages for deployed veterans through Operation Care & Comfort. We’re currently exploring more ways to expand these volunteer opportunities to include even more of you.
To honor the men and women who have served our country, Leaf Home is donating and installing our accessibility stairlifts for several deserving veterans. These stairlifts provide a safer way for veterans to confidently navigate their homes. Throughout the holiday season, our professional installation teams will expertly install each stairlift, offering these veterans increased mobility within their homes.
