LeafFilter North, Inc. has always been a strong supporter of the U.S. military. The company offers product discounts to active and veteran military members and gives support and a voice to its military employees. Now, LeafFilter gets to show its support in a different way, as valued team member Jay Armstrong has been called to deploy in May.

In just a couple of years, Jay Armstrong has become an integral part of the team and a top performer within the company. Armstrong is extremely dedicated to both the company and his country – something LeafFilter couldn’t be more proud of! As he gets ready to deploy to the Middle East (his fourth deployment since 2006), LeafFilter is showing its support by raising money for the USO.

The USO is a national non-profit that is focused on connecting active military members to their “family, home, and country, throughout their service.” This is a mission LeafFilter cares greatly about and is working hard to support by collecting donations. Friends and family of LeafFilter are invited to make a donation to the USO in Jay Armstrong’s name.

It is with great pride that the entire LeafFilter work family will continue to support this hometown hero throughout his deployment, and eagerly await his return from deployment.

• 2010 (Afghanistan): Armstrong worked as Site Supervisor, building Mustang Ramp, the 101st Airborne Division’s Headquarters in Kandahar. Then, he was Site Supervisor for a building project at Forward Operating Base Lagman.
• 2014 (Afghanistan): Armstrong worked as both Assistant Convoy Commander and Convoy Commander on over 200 convoy missions. He also led over 100 Personal Security Details.
