In the midst of rapid growth and spreading gutter protection perfection across America, LeafFilter owner and president, Matt Kaulig, is set to attend a very special White House event. The Certified Made in America event is part of the inaugural Made in America Week, the latest in the White House’s ongoing effort to promote job creation.

One business owner from each of the 50 states has been invited to represent their Made in America products at this showcase event. As a leader in job creation and American made products, Kaulig, who was recently named one of EY’s Entrepreneurs of the Year, will represent Ohio.

While the company is headquartered in Ohio, LeafFilter’s impact on manufacturing and job creation spreads far beyond the state. The company includes over 40 offices which employ more than 1,300 US workers, and has generated over $100 million in revenue in 2016. The micro mesh gutter protection is manufactured in Michigan.

“It’s an honor to be able to help advance President Trump’s mission to put America first,” says Kaulig, “I hope to inspire other business leaders to move their manufacturing back to the US, and encourage them to create much needed jobs in this country.”

When asked to comment about the weeklong Made in America event, White House director of media affairs Helen Aguirre Ferre says the mission of this event is to bring the focus back to the American worker, so that, instead of being forgotten, “they will be championed.” Ferre also hinted at an anticipated proclamation by President Trump on Wednesday.

Kaulig is thrilled to be able to work alongside other champions of American manufacturing at this White House event, and looks forward to working together to reinvigorate the American economy.
